Delhi: Husband Snooped for Affair, Strangled 18-Year-Old Wife; Arrested

A 21-year-old man was arrested in south Delhi for allegedly murdering his 18-year-old wife by strangling and smothering her with a pillow after an altercation over his suspicion of an affair. The couple had married interfaith 10 months ago against family wishes. Police said he staged a suicide scene, but the woman’s sister flagged murder. Post-mortem confirmed strangulation. The husband was arrested under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
