Industrial Disaster: 8 Workers Killed After Molten Steel Leak at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant

A major industrial accident occurred at the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, claiming the lives of eight workers after molten steel leaked and fell on employees inside the facility. Several other workers were also injured in the incident. According to initial reports, molten steel at an extremely high temperature of around 1,600 degrees Celsius was being transported in a large bucket using a crane. During the operation, the bucket reportedly lost its balance, causing the liquid metal to spill onto workers below. The accident triggered panic across the plant as employees rushed to save themselves. Emergency services quickly transported the injured workers to nearby hospitals for treatment. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the tragic incident and conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims. Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and H.D. Kumaraswamy visited the hospital to meet the injured workers and reviewed their medical condition with doctors. The tragic accident has raised serious concerns about industrial safety measures at the steel plant.
