Why the Central Government Slashed the Ujjwala LPG Subsidised Quota to 4 LPG Cylinders

The move follows an INR 29 domestic price hike on June 7, triggered by a 46 per cent surge in international benchmarks due to conflicts in West Asia. PMUY beneficiaries now pay INR 642 per cylinder in Delhi.
