A shocking murder case has emerged from Delhi’s Vasundhara Enclave area, where Delhi University assistant professor Debosmita Paul was found dead in her flat at Satyam Apartment. According to initial reports, she was allegedly killed after being struck on the head with a heavy object. The incident has raised serious concerns about security in a gated residential society. Police, along with crime branch and forensic teams, reached the spot soon after the discovery of the body and began collecting evidence. The victim’s body has been sent to LBS Hospital for post-mortem examination. Authorities have registered a murder case and launched a multi-team investigation to trace the accused. Preliminary information suggests that the victim lived alone in the apartment, while her family resided in nearby societies. The case came to light after her sister repeatedly tried contacting her. When there was no response, she reached the flat with locals, where the door was opened and the victim was found dead inside. Investigators are now examining CCTV footage, entry records, and call detail records (CDR) to determine how the attacker gained access to the high-security society and escaped without being noticed. The motive remains unknown and the investigation is ongoing.
