    A man was arrested in London after a van struck a pedestrian in Birmingham, an incident linked to the removal of flags. The victim, in his 30s, sustained broken legs requiring surgery. Police detained a 44-year-old man in London, who will be questioned regarding the collision and subsequent flight from the scene.
