The internal crisis within the Trinamool Congress (TMC) has deepened after senior leader Kalyan Banerjee publicly criticized Abhishek Banerjee, accusing him of arrogance and claiming his leadership style has harmed the party. Kalyan Banerjee stated that working with Abhishek has become impossible and suggested that Mamata Banerjee must decide whether to retain Abhishek or him within the party. Meanwhile, speculation has intensified around MP Sayani Ghosh after reports linked her to the alleged rebel camp. Her appearance at Kolkata airport wearing a cap and face mask drew significant attention on social media. The BJP has also reacted to the developments, with national general secretary Tarun Chugh asserting that TMC’s internal turmoil is a consequence of its own governance and political approach rather than outside interference. Adding to the speculation, alleged rebel MP Jagadish Basunia claimed that the number of dissatisfied MPs could rise beyond 19, alleging that the concerns of party representatives are not being heard within the organization.
