Police in Pune raided a high-profile rave party reportedly being held under the name “Project X” at a private bungalow in Tulapur. What appeared from outside to be a normal private gathering was found to be a large-scale party involving alleged drug and alcohol consumption. Authorities seized cannabis, hookah setups, and liquor worth nearly ₹10 lakh, with the total value of seized items estimated at around ₹85 lakh. A total of 156 people were present at the event, including 107 men and 49 women. The party was allegedly organized without official permission, raising concerns over how such large gatherings operate undetected in residential areas. Police detained several individuals and launched an investigation into the organizers and supply chain of the banned substances. Meanwhile, the incident has sparked debate over regulatory oversight and repeated instances of rave parties involving drugs in urban areas. Officials have assured strict action against those responsible after further inquiry.
