Police in Pune raided a high-profile rave party reportedly operating under the name “Project X” inside a private bungalow. Officials recovered alcohol worth nearly ₹10 lakh along with drugs such as cannabis and hookah setups. Around 156 people, including 107 men and 49 women, were present at the event, which allegedly took place without official permission. The incident has raised concerns about the ease of access to banned substances at private gatherings. Meanwhile in Mumbai, a separate incident at a live music concert at NSCI Dome in Worli led to the death of a 28-year-old man identified as Rishabh. Another attendee was hospitalized after their condition deteriorated during the event. Initial reports suggest excessive alcohol consumption as a possible cause, while police are also investigating a potential drug-related angle. Authorities are reviewing whether the event had proper permissions and how such large-scale gatherings are being regulated. Both incidents have triggered renewed debate over substance use and event safety regulations.
