    The Petroleum Ministry said Indian households continue to buy cooking gas at prices far lower than those in neighbouring and developed countries. A PMUY beneficiary pays an effective ₹642 for a 14.2-kg LPG cylinder, while the Delhi retail price is ₹942, despite the supply cost exceeding ₹1,600 per cylinder.
