Nations may agree to new target of electricity meeting 35% of global energy demand by 2035

Countries in climate change dialogues may agree to a new global target of electricity meeting 35% of world's energy demand by 2035. Proposed by COP31 Presidency of Türkiye, the '35x35' goal aims to accelerate the shift from fossil fuels to clean electricity, supporting the Paris Agreement and limiting global warming.
