Indian Air Force opens Technical Branch entries through GATE, exempts candidates from AFCAT written exam

The Indian Air Force has unveiled a new entry route for its Technical Branch, allowing engineering graduates to apply using their GATE scores. This bypasses the initial AFCAT written exam, offering direct shortlisting for selection boards. While this offers more flexibility, AFCAT remains the primary entry for all IAF branches.
