A major diesel shortage in Buldhana triggered chaos and panic at a petrol pump as hundreds of people gathered to purchase fuel amid fears of supply disruption. Viral videos from the area showed people carrying multiple cans and containers while rushing toward the fuel station as soon as diesel distribution began. The situation quickly turned chaotic with pushing, shouting, and heavy crowding reported at the pump premises. According to local reports, several residents arrived with two to three cans each in an attempt to stock up on diesel, leading to uncontrolled crowds and long waiting lines. Visuals also showed tractors, trucks, and other heavy vehicles lined up on roads for fuel refilling. The sudden rush reflected growing concerns over diesel availability in the region. Data from government oil companies revealed that diesel sales between May 1 and May 15 rose nearly 11.5 percent year-on-year to around 3.8 million metric tonnes. During the same period, petrol sales reportedly jumped by 19 percent to approximately 1.8 million metric tonnes, indicating rising fuel demand across the country. Meanwhile, a shocking incident also surfaced from Mysuru, where a man allegedly drove a car with a person sitting on the bonnet during a dispute over loan repayment. Reports said the victim climbed onto the bonnet to save himself after the accused allegedly tried to run him over during an argument related to debt recovery. A passerby recorded the incident, and the video later went viral on social media. Police arrested the accused driver, identified as Gangaraju, in connection with the incident reported from Kuvempu Nagar area of Mysuru.
