Amid rising inflation and increasing household expenses, Sudha Dairy has announced a hike in milk prices across multiple variants in Bihar, adding further pressure on consumers already dealing with higher fuel and daily commodity costs. The revised milk prices came into effect immediately from today. According to the latest rate revision, the price of full cream milk has been increased from ₹65 per litre to ₹67 per litre. Similarly, Sudha Shakti milk will now cost ₹59 per litre instead of the earlier ₹57. The price of cow milk has also been raised from ₹54 to ₹56 per litre. The dairy company cited increasing operational and procurement costs as key reasons behind the decision. The latest hike follows recent price increases by major dairy brands including Amul and Mother Dairy, both of which had already revised milk rates upward in several regions. With milk being a daily essential commodity, the continuous increase in prices is expected to impact household budgets, especially among middle-class and lower-income families. Consumers are already facing rising expenses due to increased prices of petrol, diesel, CNG, and LPG, along with inflation in food and grocery items. The fresh hike in milk prices has intensified concerns over the growing cost of living and everyday necessities. Residents in Bihar reacted strongly to the announcement, with many expressing concern over repeated price hikes in essential products within a short period. Experts believe that inflationary pressure and transportation costs continue to affect supply chains and consumer pricing across sectors. The revised Sudha Dairy prices are expected to influence retail dairy markets across Bihar and neighboring regions in the coming weeks.
