    Oman Coast Incident: US Navy reportedly attacks commercial vessel Seto Bello near Oman

    Amid heightened tensions involving Iran, reports claim that the US Navy carried out a military operation against a commercial vessel named Seto Bello near the coast of Oman. According to the report, the ship had 28 crew members on board, including 24 Indian nationals. It is stated that 21 Indian crew members were successfully rescued following the attack, while three Indian nationals remain missing. The report also claims that this was the second attack by the US Navy on an Indian-crewed vessel within a 24-hour period. In response to the incident, India reportedly summoned US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Jason Mix on Wednesday and lodged a strong protest over the alleged attack on the commercial ship. India is said to have conveyed that attacks on commercial vessels are unacceptable.
