OnePlus Could Soon Pair a 2K Display With a 240Hz Refresh Rate

A new leak suggests OnePlus is exploring significantly higher refresh rates for future flagship smartphones. According to a tipster, the company plans to continue using 1.5K displays while pushing refresh rates from 165Hz and 185Hz to as high as 240Hz. The tipster also indicated that OnePlus could revisit 2K panels if they can support such refresh rates efficiently. Recent reports suggest the upcoming OnePlus 16 may feature a 1.5K OLED display with a 185Hz refresh rate and Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset.
