AI Watch: Anthropic taps SpaceX’s Memphis data centre amid funding talks at $900 bn valuation

In a major AI infrastructure deal, Anthropic has signed an agreement with Elon Musk-led SpaceX to use the full 300-megawatt capacity of the Colossus1 data centre in Memphis, including over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said the company’s revenue grew 80-fold in Q1, far ahead of internal targets. The company is also expanding AI agents for financial services clients including Goldman Sachs, Visa and Citi, while fresh developments emerged around Musk’s lawsuit against OpenAI.
