Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw's Immuneel Therapeutics raises Rs 100 crore from Singularity AMC, Rainmatter, others

The Bengaluru-based company makes CAR-T therapy, a form of cancer treatment where a patient’s own immune cells are taken out, trained in a lab to fight cancer, and then put back into the body. The treatment has been seen as a major breakthrough globally, but has remained out of reach for most patients because it is highly expensive and difficult to manufacture.
