    [UPDATE] Spotify Confirms It Has Discontinued the Premium Lite Plan Six Months After Launch in India

    Spotify has updated its website and mobile app to remove its most affordable Premium subscription plan in India. Dubbed Spotify Premium Lite, the plan was introduced in November 2025 at a monthly subscription fee of Rs. 139. It offered “high audio quality” music streaming at up to 160 kbps, while also providing an ad-free experience, available only for a single account. Along with this, the company has also updated its platform to reflect the new prices for the remaining Spotify Premium subscription plans.
