Varanasi: Husband Supports Newlywed Wife To Report 6 Years of Repeated Rape by Pathology Centre Owner in Uttar Pradesh

A 60-year-old pathologist in UP's Varanasi has been booked under the POCSO Act and IPC sections for repeated ra*e and criminal intimidation after a newlywed woman, supported by her husband, broke her six-year silence. Police stated the suspect, Dashrath Patel, blackmailed and assaulted the victim since 2019 when she was a minor. Authorities are tracking the fleeing suspect.
