    The cost of home-cooked thalis rose 2 per cent in April, according to Crisil’s RRR report. The hike was driven by a 38 per cent surge in tomato prices and a 7 per cent increase in LPG and oil costs. While pulses remain affordable due to buffer stocks, experts warn that heatwaves and lower production could push tomato, onion, and potato prices higher soon.
