    'On-Screen Marking not new': Education ministry issues clarification amid Class 12 marks row, says totalling error 'completely eliminated'

    Following CBSE Class 12 results, Secretary Sanjay Kumar addressed concerns about the pass percentage drop, attributing it to the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system. While OSM, first introduced in 2014, was successfully reimplemented this year, eliminating totalling errors, around 13,000 answer sheets faced legibility issues due to light ink, requiring manual re-evaluation.
