    India witnessed a broad-based increase in foreign investment during FY26, with technology, services and trading sectors attracting the highest inflows. Strong participation from global investors, particularly from the United States and Singapore, helped push total FDI close to the $95-billion mark, while Maharashtra remained the leading investment destination.
